Service Description

Feel overwhelmed by our fast-paced society? Struggle to slow down your racing thoughts? Wish you spent more time mindfully appreciating the beautiful natural surroundings in Alaska? In this 4-week, nature-based mindfulness group we'll focus on using specific senses mindfully and incorporate art therapy practices as we take a short walk through nature (Any art materials necessary will be provided). After this nature-based mindfulness group, you'll gain tools to practice mindfulness in your daily life. Each group session will be 2 hours and will include; -A brief introduction to the effects of nature and mindfulness on mental health -An introduction to using senses mindfully -A short and slow walk in nature* (Please note this may take place on uneven ground. The walk will be under 1 mile) -A possible art therapy activity -The group will end with a group reflection with a tea ceremony *Please dress in a weather-appropriate manner. Please note that these groups are a 4-week commitment, you may miss no more than 2-sessions in order to maintain group cohesion. Please email or call with any questions. Please note that as I am seeking licensure, I am unfortunately unable to accept insurance. The total cost is $400 ($100/ 2-hour session).


Cancellation Policy

If you decide to no longer participate in the retreat/group after you have paid, you will receive a full-refund up to 72-hours before the start of the initial group session. After 72-hours before the retreat, you will receive a 50% refund.
